Graham Carter designs The Enchanted Story Garden in Eltham Library
We had an absolutely brilliant day yesterday at the grand opening of The Enchanted Story Garden, a specially created environment for children to immerse themselves in story telling at Eltham Libary.
The design of the space was inspired by Grahams illustrations, and it was like walking into one of his prints! Discover are the company responsible for this extraordinary build and they have done a wonderful job bringing Grahams designs to life. There are quotes on the walls from stories by local author Edith Nesbit who is renowned for The Railway Children & Five Children & It.
We took along our youngest son Fin, who test ran it and fully approved - the ice creams being a real hit! Alongside Grahams creatures and characters, trains and even a castle it was a fantastic experience. As a family we enjoyed the space for Fin to play in and loved his reactions to all the animals and characters, and as the the creators of the space we could not have been happier!
So Graham met the Mayor, Fin climbed over a crocodile and we all have a glass of something fizzy so all in all a brilliant day.
I really recommend popping to The Eltham Centre & Library if your in the area!
